Honoring the Passion and Memory of Don Solberg
Welcome to the Donald J. Solberg North Dakota Legacy Skydiving Foundation! We were founded in 2024 by Don’s daughter Megean Solberg, and are dedicated to preserving Don’s memory by promoting the sport he cherished throughout his life.
Our foundation supports the Fargo-Moorhead skydiving community by donating funds to meet the needs of Skydive Fargo club members, as well as pay for the costs of education and instructor certification. We additionally donate an all-expenses-paid skydive to a deserving member of the community each year, and hold the annual Dive for Don on June 21st, Don’s birthday.

Why do you want to skydive?
I have always wanted to try skydiving but never had the opportunity. I turned 70 in January of this year, which is a milestone to me, and told my family that I would love to have the opportunity to skydive to mark and make this milestone special. I watch the sky divers every summer as my son lives by the West Fargo airport. What a beautiful and amazing sight.
What would the Donald J. Solberg foundation skydive mean to you?
Given the opportunity to jump tandem would be a dream, as I know I would never pursue this on my own.

Don founded the club that would become Skydive Fargo in 1966. Today Skydive Fargo operates out of West Fargo Municipal Airport, where it offers demonstration jumps, tandem jumps, solo jumps, and skydiver education through USPA-approved static line and accelerated freefall training programs.
